LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has submitted an adjournment motion to the Punjab Assembly against the Lahore Development Authority for defrauding the masses in the name of a developed scheme – far away from Lahore.

PTI MPA Shoaib Siddiqui, in his adjournment motion, alleged the LDA officials, at the behest of the Punjab government, had sold the “proposed scheme” to four so-called developers. He stated the agents of the developers were selling files of plots after luring people through newspaper advertisements. Actually, he claimed, the real owners of the land were not interested in selling their land but being harassed.

In his adjournment motion, he said the LDA City scheme would eventually emerge as a mega scandal, which include the land of some seven villages. He alleged a federal minister was also “extracting” benefit from this scheme through his private company.

Stating that the innocent masses are being hoodwinked, he said restless was running high among investors. He demanded the adjournment motions should be debated in the Punjab Assembly to explain the real facts behind the LDA City project.
