Hope India doesn't wreck 'Rambo', says Sylvester Stallone

Stallone has discovered that a Hindi remake of his Hollywood action flick Rambo is in the works
Updated 21 May, 2017

We bet Tiger Shroff is wishing that he hadn't got this shout-out.

Veteran Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone seems to have discovered the upcoming Hindi remake of his claim-to-fame movie Rambo.

In a recent Instagram post, Stallone expressed his hope that India doesn't "wreck" Rambo, that is, produce a substandard adaptation of that iconic Hollywood action flick.

I read recently they are remaking Rambo in India !! .. Great character.. hope they don't wreck it .

A post shared by Sly Stallone (@officialslystallone) on

“I read recently they are remaking Rambo in India! Great character. Hope they don’t wreck it,” Stallone captioned the image.

The Indian remake, which will star Tiger Shroff, will be directed by Siddharth Anand. “Grew up on this character, humbled and blessed to step into his shoes years later,” Tiger had tweeted.

The film will follow life of last surviving member of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed Forces who returns home to discover a war waging in his own land and how he unleashes mayhem by becoming an unstoppable machine after tough training.

After Stallone's statement went viral, he was quick to issue a clarification.

He wrote, "Some people like to read into words and twist them. Good luck, Tiger. Go fight the good fight, keep punching. Oh, for the record , I DO NOT CONTROL THE RAMBO PROPERTY. The company Millennium does! They also own Expendables. Good luck with that one too."

Now, this shout-out isn't too bad!

His first tweet was spoken from the heart. It was a reflex. After what Bollywood has done to other movies he was obviously horrified.

Of all the people Tiger shroff... my God.. the guy has too innocent looks to perform the role of RAMBO.. By the way india has made a copy of movie FIRST BLOOD.. Starring Jateendra and Madhavi (i guess)... Movie name was PREM QAIDI... Obviously it was a hopeless attempt... better luck this time ..

India is not going to wreck this movie. Siddharth Anand has recently directed bang bang movie with hrithik roshan and that was a good movie it has a lot of action scenes. I hope he will direct Rambo perfectly. First he wanted to select hrithik roshan for that role but hrithik was busy so he decided to take Tiger sroff. Both actors have perfect body for that role. But hrithik is a mature actor and Tiger is new and i think he is not good as much as hrithik in acting but he is a Martial artist and he has 5th degree black belt in taekwondo and also trained in Kalariyapattu, Kung Fu, Krav Maga so he can do better fight scenes for this movie. Good luck Tiger sroff .

The interesting part of the movie will be when Indian Rambo would escape from the police station then singing a song by shaking his buttocks. I really look forward to the comedy.
