KARACHI: A fine unbeaten half-century by Ali Asad helped Pakistan CC sink Eastern Star CC by nine wickets in their third phase KCCA Zone-Vi fixture of the PCB Fazal Mahmood National Club Cricket Championship here the other day.

After dismissing Eastern Star CC for 134 in 37.2 overs at the TMC Ground, Pakistan CC powered home by reaching 135-1 in 16.4 overs. The left-handed Ali struck 54 with seven boundaries.

In another match at the KCCA Stadium, a grand all-round show from Faizan Khan Bari guided Taimuria Sports to an impressive 108-run win against Paposh Nagar CC.

Faizan first top-scored with 76 and then claimed three wickets for 54 runs.
