LAHORE: Upcoming pacer Mohammad Abbas has been called to Birmingham to join the Pakistan training camp which is set up there for next month’s ICC Champions Trophy.
Abbas impressed the selectors in the recently concluded Test series against West Indies and to provide him an opportunity to get some experience of bowling on English soil he is invited to the camp, a PCB press release stated.
Abbas, 27, impressed with his performance on the recently-concluded tour to the West Indies where he made his Test debut. The right-armer seized 15 wickets at a fine average of 19.20 in Pakistan’s historic 2-1 victory in the three-Test series.
