QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has exhorted the youth to strive for achieving the goal of a strong, united and developed Pakistan through their talent and hard work.

Distributing laptops among students from various universities under the Youth Mobilisation Commission on Thursday, he said: “I am sure our talented and hardworking youth will play their role in the development of the country.”

He said because of effective collaboration between law enforcement agencies and cooperation of the masses, conspiracies of enemies had been foiled and Balochistan was now on the road to progress.

Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Aamir Riaz, vice chancellors of two universities — Dr Javed Iqbal and Engineer Farooq Ahmed Bazai — and a large number of teachers, parents and students attended the ceremony.

The chief minister said teachers in the province had been a target of extremists for some time because they worked for the promotion of education. He said a number of teachers had been killed, adding that some teachers had migrated to other parts of the country — a setback to the province and the youth.
