MINGORA, Aug 1: Seven people, including six of a family, drowned when a Datsun pickup fell into river Swat in Mankyal village near Madyan on Friday.
Those who lost their lives were identified as Imran, son of Jameel, Rafiq Khan, son of Abdul Majeed, Zaitoon, wife of Abdul Majeed, and four children of the same family.
After struggling for several hours, the police could only recover the body of a 13-year-old boy, Sahib Gul from the river.
The vehicle, which was reported to be non-custom paid, was also recovered.
The locals and the police personnel were trying to recover more bodies from the river.
