SIALKOT/BAHAWALNAGAR: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police arrested two suspects in Sialkot and one in Bahawalnagar on Thursday. They all belonged to banned outfits, CTD personnel say.

The CTD arrested two suspects, activists of banned so-called Islamic State, at the Daska general bus stand.

The officials said the suspects, identified as Shahzada Naveed Husain and Muhammad Shoaib, were planning to attack sensitive installations. Police seized 1.5kg explosives, detonators and prima cord from them.

In Bahawalnagar, CTD officials arrested suspect Liaquat Ali, of Minchinabad, on Dahranwala Road and recovered hate literature from him.
