SHIKARPUR, Aug 1: The district Nazim, Shikarpur, Mohammad Arif Khan Mahar, directed the municipal administration to redress the sanitation problem and drain out rainwater and clear sewage without any delay.

He gave these orders during his visit to Shikarpur town on Friday.

Mr Mahar suspended the in charge of the main pumping station, situated at Garhi Yasin Road, on charges of poor performance and negligence in his duties.

The district Nazim visited some other localities of the town where rainwater and sewage had accumulated. He directed the EDO, health, to spray insecticide in the town as a precautionary measure against the breakout of diseases.—Correspondent
