DERA GHAZI KHAN: Suspected terrorists blew up the roof of a one-room farmhouse belonging to a relative of the Balochistan home minister in Dolli, Rujhan tehsil, in Rajanpur district.

Sources told Dawn that the farmhouse belonged to Shah Murad Masoori Bugti, a relative of Sarfraz Bugti, located in Border Military Police precincts, 150km from here.

The explosion was triggered with a remote-controlled device, while Murad Bugti and his associates remained unhurt. Sources said the explosion took place soon after the arrival of visitors who had not disembarked from their vehicles yet.

Political assistant to tribal area Rajanpur, Imran Munir, told Dawn that the room of the farmhouse had been blown up by unidentified terrorists and it was located at least 500 metres from a Rangers checkpost near the provincial boundary.

Munir further said that it was a remote-controlled explosion and the visitors, who were still in their vehicles, remained unhurt. Punjab Rangers, Border Military Police and Frontier Constabulary were jointly investigating the incident, he added.

Dolli Border Military Police Station House Officer Meher Deen Mazari said that a case against three unidentified people had been registered under sections 7 of ATA, 3/4 explosives act, 447 and 427 of PPC.
