NEW DELHI, Aug 1: Indian police will question a top Kashmiri leader over the arrest of two men allegedly ferrying funds from Pakistan, police sources said on Friday.
They said a team would soon leave for Srinagar to question Jamaat-i-Islami leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani.
Police on Thursday arrested two people and accused them of being conduits for funding between Ali Geelani and Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
The arrested men were carrying one million rupees for handing over to Geelani, police alleged.
The PTI said detectives would also question a former Indian minister in connection with the alleged funding.—AFP
