KARACHI: Off-spinner Sheroz Sana starred with a four-wicket haul and skipper Owais Ahmed Rehmani hit a half-century as Rangoonwala CC cantered to a comprehensive victory over Innovators CC in their fourth Dollar East T20 Premier League fixture here on Monday.

Opting to field at the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground worked wonders for Rangoonwala CC, who bowled tightly to restrict their opponents to just 92-9.

Barring Abdul Rehman, who scored an unbeaten 35-ball 40 with one six, it was a tense struggle for the remaining batsmen as Sheroz returned brilliant analysis of four wickets fir only eight runs in his quota of four overs. Slow left-armer Sajjad Mirza grabbed 2-23 in four overs.

At one stage, Innovators were tottering at four wickets down for six runs in four overs but Rehman ensured they managed a respectable score.

Rangoonwala CC knocked off the required runs with 35 deliveries let unused despite losing opener Ahmed Hussain for a second-ball duck.

Fellow opener Ghani Subhan (run-a-ball 22, two boundaries) and Owais lifted the score to 41 before Rangoonwala CC lost their second wicket. Owais utilized his vast experience of firs-class cricket to strike four fours and two sixes to end up on an undefeated 58 off 39 balls.

Sheroz was later adjudged man-of-the-match.
