THE mob involved in the brutal murder of Mashal Khan was Muslim as well as educated. Most of them were students or employees at the university. This is indeed a tragic incident and a stark reminder of how low we have fallen as a people. Not satisfied with taking a human life, they kept abusing the body. While all this was going on, scores of others watched in silence or used their smart phones to record the gory drama.

I feel so strongly that I have to state the obvious! Islam is a religion of peace and does not condone violence. In fact even to rid society of dangerous psychopaths, it urges restraint and caution.

The perpetrators, who have brought a bad name to our religion and our country, must be meted justice.
