LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials on Monday felicitated Younis Khan on scoring 10,000 runs in Test cricket.

A press release issued by the PCB stated chairman Shaharyar Khan as saying, “Younis has been an excellent ambassador of Pakistan cricket. The number of records he has set in the recent past is something we as a nation can take great pride in.

“He is the only Pakistan batsman and Test cricketer in the world to have scored centuries in 11 countries across the world.

“I congratulate him on rewriting record books and hope he carries his form in the ongoing series and win it.”

Executive Committee chairman Najam Sethi expressed the same thoughts for the legendary batsman: “Younis has been a great servant to Pakistan cricket. He is a run machine and has been shouldering Test team’s responsibility along with captain Misbah-ul-Haq for years now. I congratulate him.”

The chief operating officer, Subhan Ahmed, said, “Younis is the backbone of Pakistan batting line-up. I wish him good luck.”
