KARACHI: Pakistan Television (PTV) and Port Qasim Authority (PQA) experienced mixed fortunes at the start of their final-round Group ‘C matches in the Patron’s Trophy Grade-II Tournament on Tuesday.

PTV, who lead the standings by four points, were in pole position for the one spot from this pool by reaching 303-5 after bowling out Income Tax for 114 at the Bohranwali Ground in Faisalabad. Raheel Majeed starred with three wickets and a quickfire 117 off 115 balls (19 boundaries and one six).

Second-placed PQA were sent on a leather chase by the Higher Education Commission batsmen as the students amassed 392-7 at the Sports Stadium in Sargodha before PQA reached 26-0 at stumps.

Group ‘D’ leaders Railways were 39-4 after dismissing Ghani Glass for 189 at the Railways Cricket Stadium in Lahore, while second-placed Omar Associates posted 315 before Brighto Paints replied with 17-0 at the LCCA Ground.
