KARACHI: Raza Sawani beat Amin Shafi 6-3, 6-0 while Sahabzada Ali outplayed Zubiar Raja 6-3, 6-0 to reach the final of the Under-18 category in the 1st McDonald’s National Juniors Tennis Championship here at Karachi Gymkhana on Monday.
In the U-16 category semis, Noor-e-Mustafa got past Amin Shafi 6-3, 6-1 while Zubair Raja edged Mujahidullah Khattak 6-3, 6-3.
In the U-14 category, Rayyan Jawwad beat Mahatir Mohammad and Aashish Kumar got the better of Yahya Ethasham in the semi-finals to set up an exciting final which will be played on Tuesday.
In the U-12 boys category, Taha Amman outplayed Hassan Jamal to reach the final.
The closing ceremony of the tournament will be held on Tuesday at 6:30pm.
