ISLAMABAD: A woman, who was attacked by her ex-husband a couple of weeks ago, died at Pims on Saturday, police said.

The woman suffered multiple stab wounds when her ex-husband attacked her at her brother’s house in Dhoke Mohri on March 9. Her brother, Mohammad Zahir, was also injured in the attack.

Later, the woman was shifted to Pims where she died on Saturday.

The hospital management handed over the woman’s body to her relatives, but later the police took it into their custody and shifted it to Polyclinic for autopsy.

The police said the woman married the accused in 2007 and had three children, but her husband divorced her on March 5 over a family dispute and she moved to her brother’s house.

On March 9, her ex-husband along with another man came to her brother’s house and told him that he wanted to meet her, but her brother refused. This infuriated the accused who forcefully entered the house and attacked her.
