KARACHI, Jan 2: Left-handers Nasim Khan and Mohtashim Ali shared honours for Rest of Balochistan (RoB) on the opening day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Grade-I match against Rest of Sindh (RoS) at the National Stadium Wednesday.
Nasim let RoB from the front by slamming his third career century and Mohtashim hit an attractive 81 on his debut to steer their team to 241 for six after being put into bat.
Nasim was dismissed on the third last ball of the day’s play after scoring a defiant 104 that spiced 14 boundaries and came off 226 balls after 312 minutes of occupancy of the crease.
Mohtashim’s knock was laced with 11 boundaries from 165 balls. He shared in a 165-run third wicket stand with his skipper.
For RoS, paceman Kashif Pervez bowled his heart out and was rewarded with three wickets for 32 runs.
