KARACHI: The workers of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation have urged the civic agency’s management to change the duty timings of Christian staffers from March 1 so that they could easily perform their religious ritual of fasting.

In a statement on Monday the Municipal Workers Trade Unions Alliance chief Zulfiqar Shah and Christian leaders Master Samuel, Bashir Masih, and others said that the month of fasting for Christians begins on March 1 and a large number of community members observed fasts, so like Muslims in Ramazan, Christians should also be provided relief in their duty timings.
