MUZAFFARABAD: An elderly woman was injured in the Nakyal sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday after being fired at by Indian soldiers from across the Line of Control.

Nazarat Bibi, 64, was performing ablutions in the early hours of Saturday morning in the courtyard of her house in Balakot village when she fell victim to firing from across the LoC, an official told Dawn from the area.

She was hit by a bullet in the leg and was hospitalised.
