LAHORE: The government closed National College of Arts (NCA)’s activities for a week over security reasons on Friday.

The college administration has called off all the classes for the upcoming week and also closed hostels. The students residing in hostels have been directed to leave for their homes.

An NCA official said the government had taken the step for security reasons.

DIG (Operations) Dr Haider Ashraf said: “We did not ask any administration of educational institutions to vacate hostels. We are providing foolproof security to every educational institution in the city”.
