LAHORE: The fifth edition of the Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) will start tomorrow (Saturday).

The festival will be held at Avari Hotel.

“Considering the precarious security situation, we worked closely with the Punjab government and truncated our event but adding another day is also on the table,” said Razi Ahmed, founder and chief executive officer of the LLF, on Thursday.

Earlier, a press release issued by the organisers had said that in deference to recent events, the festival had been scaled down. “We remain grateful to the Punjab government and the people of Lahore who have wholly embraced the festival since its founding in 2013,” he said. The LLF 2017 will feature a slew of writers, artists and opinion leaders.
