KARACHI, Dec 26: ‘All About Lifestyles’ opens at the Karachi Expo Centre, Hasan Square, on Saturday. The exhibition, featuring more than 150 leading consumer brands and service providers, will be inaugurated by Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yusuf.

It will remain open from 10am to 10pm and is expected to attract a large number of visitors.

This year, apart from the exhibition, there are a host of activities planned to make ‘All About Lifestyles’ a family weekend outing. The new attractions include interactive pavilions focussing on art, books, home improvement and gardening. There is a special Young World pavilion for children’s activities that features interesting competitions and exciting prizes. Also planned is an all-breed championship dog show.

The high point of the exhibition, however, is the definitive showcase exhibition on the history of Karachi. Titled Jewel in the Crown: Karachi under the Raj (1843-1947), the exhibition will feature portraits, photographs and exhibits highlighting Karachi’s development under the British Raj and will be inaugurated by Federal Finance Minister Shaukat Aziz at 4pm on Saturday. The exhibition has been put together by collecting never-before-seen exhibits from private collections, international sources, government warehouses and archives.
