THATTA, Dec 26: The negligence on the part of public health department has resulted in growing graph of viral and bacterial diseases in the coastal belt of the district, stated People’s Party Parliamentarians MPA Sassui Palijo at a hunger strike camp in Gharo town on Thursday.

The one-day camp was established by the PPP and People’s Youth Forum activists to protest against the registration of false cases against Asif Ali Zardari.

She expressed concern over the unchecked medical practice by quacks as well as non-chlorination of the water supply to the residents.

She said use of same syringes on different patients who might carried diseases, like Hepatitis-B and C, and use of un- sterilized medical equipments and unscreened blood transfusions had caused spread of disease in the area.
