SUKKUR: Another policeman lost his life and three other personnel suffered injuries as the operation going on against the suspected criminal elements of Sabzoi and Bachkani tribes in some districts in Sindh entered fourth day on Sunday.

According to reports, houses of some suspected criminals and their relatives were also set on fire by the authorities.

An ASI was killed a few days ago while a constable died in a shootout early on Sunday morning.

The PRO of SSP Kashmore said that members of the Sabzoi tribe — Ali Dar, Sahibo, Takkar Khan and others — were involved in highway robberies and kidnappings for ransom since long and did not surrender to authorities despite warnings.

On Saturday night when a police party from Kandhkot was patrolling the area near Garimori village the criminals opened fire at them and a shootout took place during which one constable was killed and three others were injured. The police chased the criminals but they fled to Ghotki on the other side of the Indus river by boat.
