LAHORE: The government has decided to expand the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) operations to all districts of the province.

Currently, the PFA carries out its operations in Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Multan.

“It has been decided to expand the PFA from five to all other districts of Punjab. A summary has been sent to the CM for approval,” reads a press release issued by a PFA spokesman on Thursday.

The spokesman said by June this year, the operations would be expanded to 18 districts and by year-end (December) remaining districts would have the PFA presence. The expansion would create 199 new jobs from grade-1 to 19.
