3 killed in accident

MIRANSHAH (North Waziristan), Dec 18: Three people of a family were killed and five others received serious injuries when a passenger coach fell into a deep ravine in the Garyom Tehsil here on Thursday.

The ill-fated flying coach was coming from Shaktai area to the agency headquarters, Miranshah, when its diver lost control at a sharp turn near Garyom and the coach plunged into a 200-feet-deep ravine.

The victims were identified as Multanai, his son Ajab Khan and cousin Azim Khan. They were killed on the spot. The injured passengers Gul Alam, Ahmad Zaman, Noor Zaman, Mashawar Khan and Zarlay Khan were shifted to the Agency Headquarters Hospital.

A passenger who survived in the accident told this correspondent that he dragged himself out of the ravine to tell the passers-by about the accident.
