KARACHI, Dec 12: The Karachi Building Control Authority has finally demolished the illegally constructed top floors of an under-construction building, after the issue was raised by the federal and provincial governments as well as an NGO, it is learnt.
According to the sources, an NGO, Shehri, in April this year raised the issue of the illegal construction on plot 73 Muslimabad, located within the restricted zone of 6 furlongs around the Mazar of Quaid-i-Azam, within which no building could be legally constructed higher than the podium level of the Mazar.
The Quaid-i-Azam Mazar Management Board was the next to raise the issue, and it approached the KBCA regarding the illegal constriction on June 20.
