PM meets Mubarak, Annan

GENEVA, Dec 10: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday held separate meetings with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and the ILO chief here on the sidelines of World Summit on Information Society.

Mr Mubarrak and Mr Jamali agreed to enhance the mutual cooperation between the two countries in different sectors besides extending invitation to each other to visit their respective countries.

Kofi Annan appreciated Pakistan government for taking steps to normalize relations with India besides appreciating Islamabad’s initiative of ceasefire along the Line of Control, saying it would help normalize relations between India and Pakistan.—APP
