Akhtar’s all-round display

KARACHI, Dec 31: An excellent all-round performance by the Man-of-the-Match, Akhtar Bangash, Novartis Pharma Pakistan Ltd beat hosts AKU by six wickets in the final of AKU Sports Center Colour Kit cricket tournament Sunday.

Batting first AKU were bowled out for 122 in 22 over. Abid Fazil (31), Naveed Siddiqui (24) and Amin Lasi (15) were the main contributors. Akhter Bangash took three for 24 and Naeem Akhtar two for 21 bowled well for the losers.

In reply Novartis Pharma achieved the target 123 for the loss of four wickets. Akhatar Bangash was the top scorer with 38. Arshad Khan (30 n.o.) and Qamaruddin (19) runs were the other. Shahid Hussain took two wickets for 20 runs for AKU.

Summarized scores: Novartis beat AKU by six wickets.
