Two gunned down

TAXILA: Two people were gunned down by unknown assailants in what seems to b a case of targeted killing in the limits of Wah Cantonment police station on Tuesday.

According to police sources, 90-year-old Nazar Ali and 70-year-old Dildar Hussein were on their way to Kashmir Colony when two men on a motorcycle fired at them. The two men were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

When asked, SHO Cantonment police station Sub-inspector Zaheeruddin Babar ruled out sectarian reasons for the murder.

He said the victims were natives of Parachinar and that they may have been killed due to old enmity. The sub-inspector said a double murder case has been registered.
