Truck driver shot dead

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 7: A truck driver was shot dead on Sunday on resistance by three armed robbers near Salar Bhattian on Sargodha Road, some 20kms from here.

Ahmad Sher was on his way to Lahore from Sukheki by truck (PRL-3831) when the armed highwaymen intercepted the vehicle. They shot dead Sher for offering resistance and then managed to escape from the scene.

Khanqah Dogran police are looking into the matter.

TWO KILLED: Two people were killed on Sunday in different road accidents in the district.

A speeding coaster overturned on Faisalabad Road in Katianwali as a result of which passenger Abdul Salam died on the spot. The deceased was the resident of Faisalabad.

Manawala police have registered a case against the absconding driver.

A speeding motorcycle rickshaw knocked down and killed passerby Shabbir near Sangla Hill.
