Three killed, 15 injured in accidents

GUJRANWALA, Dec 30: Three people were killed, while 15 others were injured in fog-related accidents in and around the city on Sunday.

A student of the Government Higher Secondary School, Ghakkhar Town, Imran, was going on a motorcycle when a wagon coming from the opposite side hit him near the grain market. Imran died on the spot.

In another accident near the Wazirabad Bypass Chowk, one person was killed while 15 others sustained injuries when a Wazirabad-bound wagon overturned. The injured were taken to the local Civil Hospital in critical condition.

Yaqoob of Eminabad was run over by a car on the GT Road.

NOMINATED: The Punjab Baitul Maal Council on Saturday nominated some 31 members of divisional and district committees on vacant seats.

A council meeting held in Lahore reviewed the vacant seats of these committees and gave an approval to the nomination of the following members:
