17 die in two road accidents

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 28: At least 15 people were killed and 50 others received injuries when a passenger bus overturned near Darazinda, some 95kms from here on Friday.

Most of the victims died on the spot, while condition of 15 of the injured was reported to be critical. They were shifted to DHQ Teaching Hospital D.I. Khan.

The ill-fated bus was taking the people from Wana Sar to celebrate the third day of Eid at Darazinda.

The names of the dead and the injured could not be ascertained.

In another accident, two people were killed, while another was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding on crashed on Dera-Chashma road here.

The three friends were going to Chashma barrage to celebrate the third day of Eidul Fitr. The victims were identified as Mohammad Sajid, son of Fazal Rehman, and Kashif Nawaz, son of Gul Sher.

The injured, Amjad Gul, was shifted to Multan for treatment.
