RIYADH, Nov 20: Saudi officials have accused US security agencies of monopolizing intelligence and “always pressing for information from the Saudi side without giving anything in return”.
“And if they cooperate, they only share a part that serves their interest,” the Arabic daily Al-Hayat said quoting a top official source.
The source said US security agencies always stressed the need for tightening control over monetary transactions, charity donations and activities of philanthropic societies.
The source underlined the effectiveness of the Arab cooperation in fighting terrorism.
Earlier the Saudi interior minister also criticized the level of cooperation in combating terrorism at a press conference.
“This coordination is not up to the mark, as it is only limited to exchanging pieces of information from here and there without reaching a plan for dealing with the masterminds of the terrorist operations,” he said.
