KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has decided in principle to abolish charged parking within the next few days and the decision will be implemented after getting feedback from citizens.

According to an official statement issued on Saturday, KMC administrator Laeeq Ahmed has taken the decision keeping in view of the large number of complaints from the motorists regarding overcharging as well as charging by unauthorized people/ land mafia illegally from the spots that were not designated as charged parking zones, which affected the smooth flow of vehicular traffic as well.
