KARACHI: A young labourer was killed by his fellow middle-aged labourer who also fell to death from the rooftop of an under-construction building while fleeing and died in Bahadurabad in the early hours of Friday morning, police said.

They added that the 50-year-old suspect, Gohar Khail, threw from the roof of the under-construction bungalow a cement block on 25-year-old Abdul Wahab, who was asleep on the ground floor in the Shabirabad Block-B bungalow.

Other labourers woke up from the sound of the falling block and tried to get hold of the suspect. As he tried to flee, he fell down from the roof and died of head injuries, said Bahadurabad SHO Rao Rafiq.

The officer said it could not be ascertained immediately as to what prompted him to do that.
