KARACHI, Nov 17: Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) Akhtar Ahmed Bajwa has said that the cut in tariffs would result in an expansion of the customer base and increased usage.

This would add to PTCL income by generating additional revenues both through outgoing and incoming calls.

In a meeting with the representatives of the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), he said this would have a positive impact on the company’s earnings and counterbalance any direct decline in its revenue.

PTCL had an experience that all such adjustments had marked impact on the usage and revenue growth which is quite evident from the last few years’ accounts and profitability, he said while assuaging apprehensions of the investors regarding the future financial performance of the company.
