KARACHI: Pakistan Navy conducted a successful test launch of a shore-based anti-ship missile, Zarb, in the Arabian Sea on Saturday.

The weapon launched from the coastal site successfully engaged the target.

Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Vice Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi lauded the efforts of all those involved in making the test launch possible.

While congratulating the crew of the missile’s battery, he said that with the launch, significant capability had been added to the Pakistan Navy’s arsenal which would bolster the country’s seaward defence and contribute to peace and stability in the region.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Zaka­ullah praised the hard work of PN officers for the successful launch and smooth induction of Zarb missile.
