LAHORE, Nov 14: Tehrik-i-Insaaf chief Imran Khan says the reform process in Pakistan will begin with the reformation of judiciary.
Speaking at an iftar-dinner organized by the Punjab University Teachers Front at New Campus on Friday, he said the institution of judiciary was a source of providing justice at grassroots level. He said the internal peace, economic stability and independence in real sense depended upon the healthy and transparent judicial system. He said the rule of law was a guarantee to people’s prosperity.
Mr Khan said the intelligentsia could play its role to convince politicians and military rulers to correct the judicial system.
Earlier, Dr Aurangzeb Alamgir and Dr Mujahid Mansoori presented a welcome address.
Different teachers and students’ delegations also met Mr Khan and discussed different issues.
