KARACHI, Nov 14: Apropos to Dawn’s story of Nov 11, titled “Illegal construction,” the Faran Educational Society, which runs the Faran High School, has maintained that the construction of a boundary wall by it in Bilal Colony, Orangi Town, is not illegal.

In a rejoinder, the society has further claimed that some residents of sectors 14B and 14C, have been encroaching upon a portion of the amenity plot, earmarked for their school. The residents have also been squatting on a nearby graveyard and the road between it and the school, it said.

The said plot had been allotted to the society for educational purposes vide KDA resolution no 516, dated Dec 5, 1980, and CDGK’s land inspectors also inspected the site and found no irregularities, added the society’s letter.
