Child killed in accident

LAHORE, Nov 10: A child was killed while his elder brother and mother suffered injuries in an accident on Raiwind Road on Monday.

Police said Waheed Ahmad was on his way home by a motorcycle along with his mother Shamim Akhtar and two and a half-year-old brother Naseer when a rashly driven truck (LHF-2487) knocked them down. Passersby rushed them to the Jinnah Hospital. Naseer was pronounced dead on arrival while the condition of the two injured people was stated to be critical.

The body was handed over to the family without autopsy.

Police impounded the truck and registered a case against its absconding driver.

BODY FOUND: The body of a man was found from a platform of the Lahore railway station on Monday.

Identified as Muhammad Hanif, 25, police sent the body to the city mortuary. They said that no injury mark was found on the body.
