LAHORE: The operation of the Dosti Bus has been suspended indefinitely at the request of Indian authorities.
Retired Col Khalid, the manager of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation, Lahore, told reporters on Sunday that the service would be resumed after getting clearance from Indian officials who had expressed their inability to carry passengers to Delhi in the wake of caste-based protests in Haryana.
All the 20 passengers who had booked seats to cross over to India on Monday had been informed about the suspension of the service, he said.

@Satt Haryana is not under control right now. Lots of people are stranded in Jammu, for example, for the same reason. The Dosti bus could have gone through the state of Punjab but not Haryana.

There is rioting going on and arson attacks taking place in the Indian state of Haryana. The state machinery has broken down and they have called the army to restore order. Good and timely decision made in the interest of the safety and security of the passengers.

JATT , RAJPUTS demand govt should meet at the earliest , they are they ones contribute in army and fight for our country. If demands of martial communities are not met this is the sad result of it.

@JAIDEV SINGH BHATI This uncivilised and barbaric method of seeking concessions from the government should be strongly condemned by all right minded citizens of that country. Burning public and private property and looting shops and offices helps no one and is not the right way to go about getting the government to meet their demands. The people responsible for this criminal act should be caught and given the harshest punishment possible as there is absolutely no justification for it.
