KARACHI: Power cuts criticized

KARACHI, Nov 7: Residents of slum areas of Karachi have criticized frequent power failures in villages without any prior announcement of loadshedding.

The affected villages included Old Thana, Jam goth, Memon goth, Kathoro, Sheedi goth, Yousuf goth, Darsano Channo, Sauleh Mohammad goth and a few others.

The villagers complained that they were facing frequent power failures even during Taraveeh, Iftar and Sahr. A number of complaints, they said, had been lodged with the KESC authorities, but the situation had not changed so far.—APP
