Saeed and Qadir star for SSGC

KARACHI, Nov 6: Splendid spin bowling by Saeed Asif three for 14 and Abdul Qadir three for 29, bowled Sui Southern Gas Company to a comfortable 74-run victory over A.O.C.C.in the 18th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan festival on Thursday at the Karachi Gymkhana ground.

Electing to bat after winning the toss SSGC were dismissed for 215 runs in their 25 overs with Nadeem Naeem (43), Saad Umer and Abdul Qadir with 30 runs apiece, Saeed Asif (29) and Nizamuddin (20), contributing to their team’s total.

Saif Khan three for 22, M. Ali Shah three for 53 and Ayaz Jilani two for 37, picked up the wickets that fell.

Saeed and Qadir spun ount A.O.CC for 141 runs in 22.1 overs with Asim Zaidi weighing in with two for 36. Sharjeel Ashraf top scored for the losers with 44 runs to his credit. Saeed Sheikh (22) and Nadeem Akhtar (20), were also among the runs.
