People deprived of cash, gold

KASUR, Oct 12: Dacoits looted cash and valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees in different parts of the district on Friday.

Five dacoits, including Tufail and Idrees, broke into the house of Rustam Ali in Arzanipur village, Illahabad. They held up a child, snatched keys and collected Rs60,000 in cash besides clawing gold ornaments from Rustam’s wife.

The bandits fled after leaving the child at some distance.

In another incident, Nazir Ahmad’s adopted son, Ronaq Ali along with an accomplice took away valuables worth Rs70,000 in Bhopewal village, Chak 23, Pattoki.

In Illahabad Town, dacoits took away cash, jewellery and a pistol worth Rs20,000.

ABDUCTED: Three armed men abducted a child on the Bhoi Asal Road, Changa Manga, on Friday.

Amanat Ali was coming along with his father on a bicycle when Muhammad Sarwar and others took him away by a car at gunpoint.
