KARACHI, Dec 26: The General Council Meeting of Sindh Netball Association (SNA) held the other day unanimously approved a new constitution.

A statement issued Wednesday said the meeting was presided by Acting President of (SNA) Mrs. Nazish Saeed. In the meeting 12 District Netball Associations’ representatives and the Observer of Pakistan Federation of Netball, Ghufran Ali Rajput, participated and approved the new constitution.

On the instruction of Pakistan Federation of Netball (PFN) the election was held as per new sports policy approved by Pakistan Government.

The elected office- bearers are as under for a period of 4 years: President, Mudassar Arain, Chairman Abdul Razzaq, S.V. President, Mrs. Nazish Saeed, Vice President, Mrs. Naghma Shahid, Miss Saeeda Khan, Izhar Hussain Zaidi, Wajahat Hussain Makani. Secretary General, Maqbool Ahmed, Assistant Secretary, Mrs Rehana Zia, Honorary Treasurer Mrs. Rana Brohi, Members, Miss Rehana Bhatti, Miss Fatima, Mrs Sherazi, Khalid Parvez, Naeem Khan.

The general body of SNA also decided that the trials of Sindh Women Netball team will be held in the first week of February 2002 at Karachi for the 6th National Women Netball Championship later in the same month at Faisalabad.—APP
