KARACHI, Oct 21: A card of seven races has been drawn for the Karachi Winter Gymkhana races which will be held on Wednesday. The first race will commence at 1 p.m.
Form horses are running in almost every race barring the first two, therefore the racegoers should not have much difficulty in picking the winners unless manipulators manage to change the scenario.
Silent Fire and Silver City have run prominently of late but in the presence of Winning Streak. I cannot see anyone come close to him despite the fact that he is nowhere near his best form in the first race. Silver City Silent Fire and Neeli Nigahain should fight for lower berths.
In the second race Super Boy, Law of Nature, Raysham and Baby Tabassum are the chance horses. Baby Tabassum will be carrying just 7-13 on her back which should help her having edge over Law Of Nature who should not run out of frame.
Dauntless, Clever Cat and stable mates Sajan Black and Pearl draw the attention in the third race.
Dauntless though is a class act but since he is a bit slow in the early part may find it difficult to catch up with Pearl who was beaten by Fizza and Lex Luger last week unless the stable decides to go with Sajan Black who can oblige the connections if called upon.
In the fourth race, Trust You and Royal Beauty should measure their strength. On Sunday Trust You was not allowed to run on merit yet the colt managed to complete the frame. With that run in mind, he should have no difficulty in beating Royal Beauty who should run well.
Arabian Majesty was beaten by Nawab in his maiden genuine run. With that run in mind, the colt should simply walk away with top honours. Star Of The Day and Grey Boy should fight for lower Berths in the fifth race.
In the sixth race Shining Steel is cut above class and with return of form he should just romp home unchallenged. Ring Master, Sonia, and Nawab should fight for less remunerative berths.
Departure On Time, Power Plus, Miss Oozi, Savero, Mega Hit and Thousand Up are the chance horses in the last race of the day. The former on Sunday ran a very good second behind prized colt, Trillion Winner. On that run he should oblige his connections. Mega hit is the dark horse who can upset my calculations.
