PM says dossier on Indian interference to be given to UN

UNITED NATIONS: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the dossier on Indian interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs and on fomenting terrorism on Pakistan’s soil by India would soon be handed over to the secretary general of the United Nations.
He told reporters at a press conference at Waldorf Astoria hotel after his UNGA speech that if he had a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi he would have handed the dossier over to him.
He said that Pakistan was keen to have peaceful neighbourly relations but India had not reciprocated with the same sentiments. “It is the time that India should act by coming forward and desist from violating the ceasefire on LoC and Working Boundary,” he said.

But he said nothing about the construction of a wall at the border as charged in a letter to the UN Secretary General, by Pakistan’s ambassador.
In reply to a question, Nawaz Sharif said an important announcement would be made in Pakistan about welcoming Malala Yousufzai to Pakistan. —M.H. & A.I.

But what makes pak not to handover the dossier to Indian high commission is Pak or any other diplomatic channel.
There is still diplomatic channel b/w the countries right ?
Countries do not need talks to handover dossiers.

I have been hearing of this Dossier business for months. What will Ban ki Moon will do with this dossier? India has given us dozens of them and consigned them to dust bin. Same fate awaits our dossier too.

Quite honestly, what is UN going to do with it? You expect someone will read that intently, which would be hard to believe, and get back to Pakistan. I am really curious who is this person/persons that has both the interest and the authority to do something about it.

The PM should also make it public through an international press conference, enough is enough, the world has to see the real face. 80% of terrorism in Pakistan is directly or indirectly connected to agencies operation through Afghanistan. Pakistan has paid a heavy price, not any more.

The Secretary General would throw this fabricated dossier into the dustbin right after the meeting. Its nothing but a piece of trash.
Disappointed with both PPP & Nawaz Sharif's Govt's. Thought that they would take concrete steps to normalize relations with India but sadly it has not been the case. Dealing directly with the Military in Pakistan is any day better then dealing with the elected puppet governments. The ceasefire with Musharraf's government in November 2003 which was meaningful,effective and a long lasting one is a perfect example demonstrating where the actual power centre within Pakistan is located.

Sir, running behind UN will look you more helpless. You want everyone should take your complain seriously but when India make similar complains, you simply reject it. Living in denial will not going to help. Its simple give and take policy. You stop interfering, supporting and harbouring anti india elements & we will replicate the same. It is as simple as that.

Earlier Mr. Aziz said he would have handed it over to Indian NSA, had meeting taken place. As these meetings are not materialising, please send it to Indian side by email, with copy marked to Secretary General of UN.

1. The dossier can be mailed to India / Indian embassy in Pakistan instead of being flaunted around. Looks like more noise, less substance.
2. If Secy gen of UN was to be given the dossier, why did NS not do so when he met the Secy Gen four days ago.
3. I feel there is no dossier that can be handed over without being laughed at,

4. Pakistan is trying to get third party intervention in Indo-Pak conflict by some oblique,
Either ways, the UN will only make generic statements of "encourage peaceful solution" etc; especially after both PM and EAM of India have given a mouthful to the UN for pursuing archaic agenda belonging to the 1940s.

What does it mean.... There is need of practical steps to be taken in this regard. We are suffering from 'Foreign Hand' since long. Pakistan should decide and solve this matter once and for all time.
Besides Kashmir should be focused. If Indo-Pak govt want to prosper their respective people it should abandon blame game and start concrete efforts for the solution of all issues.

Sir,
The Dossier should have been submitted to Secretary General and copies to all members before the begining of General Assembly Session, which would have resulted in change in Indian Foreign Ministers address to the General Assembly.
Our next move would have been to call urgent session of Security Council where we would have taken up the Indian Threat, sleeper cells, and financing of terrorism in country.
Sir, now its too late, how much more should our beloved Army suffer because of lack of political leadership and wrong perceptions of our politicians.

There was a dossier provided by Musharraf to Manmohan Singh as well.
Dossiers such as those should be shared through diplomatic channels as any mature country does.
