Saudi crown prince due next week

ISLAMABAD, Oct 11: Saudi crown prince and commander of the National Guards Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz will arrive here on October 18 to hold talks with President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali on the current situation in South Asia and the recent developments in the Middle East, the Gulf region and Afghanistan.

During the two-stay of the Saudi crown prince, the leadership of the two countries will also discuss measures to reinforce their bilateral relations.

Sources said the Saudi and Pakistani leadership would also have an in-depth review of the evolving situation in Iraq.

An official statement issued on Saturday on the coming visit of the Saudi crown prince stated: “Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a tradition of close consultations between the leadership of the two countries based on long-standing brotherly ties.
