NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 8: Journalists of Mehrabpur and Thahrushah observed token hunger strikes at their respective press clubs on Tuesday to protest the killing of a journalist, Amir Bakhsh Brohi, at Shikarpur.

They urged the Sindh chief minister to direct the police officials concerned to arrest the actual killers Mr Brohi without any further delay.

SHIKARPUR: On the call of the All Small Traders Union, a shutter-down strike was observed here on Wednesday to protest against the police and the district administration for failing to arrest the killers of Mr Brohi.

The traders also took out a procession.Local rickshaw drivers observed a strike against the journalist’s murder and demanded early arrest of the killers.

Condolence meetings were also held by the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Anjuman Talba-i-Islam, Pakistan People’s Party-SB and other political parties and associations.

LARKANA: A large number of residents of Ratodero, led by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chief Bashir Qureshi, took out a procession to protest the murder of Mr Brohi.

They blocked the highway for one hour.
